K2 Swim Inc.

 Here's a short story of our group's work with K2 Swim Inc.

When we first partnered with K2 Swim, the "company" was a one-person show. Kay Koulik, the proud owner, was offering swimming instructions primarily to young children in condominiums along Toronto's Harbourfront. Her venture had little processes in place for the company to operate efficiently and effectively.

By the end of our first semester with K2, our group realized that we were going to have to actually build the foundation for this company - because at that time had nothing solid to build on. We developed a list of realistic goals and tasks to accomplish for the second semester, which were aimed at building the company's foundation. Our main goals (many smaller sub-tasks were done as well) were:

1. Incorporate the company
2. Create formalized documents that the company could use in the future
3. Source new condos and locations to offer services
4. Create a website
5. Create a unified marketing/advertising initiative

By the end of the second semester we were able to successfully incorporate the company, created new advertising/marketing materials, develop contracts (NDA, Contractor agreements, Condominium Exclusivity Agreement), successfully gained 2 more locations to offer services, and have started the website.

Our group was able to help K2 Swim Inc. build a foundation that can be built upon in the future. Kay has now expanded her business, including new contractors (instructors), formal agreements, and a stonger business presence.
